Once Upon a Rose (Once Upon Series, The)

#1 New York Times bestselling author Nora Roberts presents four stories about the magic of blossoming loveIn Nora Roberts' "Winter Rose," a young queen heals a wounded soldier on a remote island cursed with eternal winterand warms her heart with the joys of true love.In Jill Gregory's "The Rose and the Sword," an exiled princess’s last hope for recovering her lost kingdom lies with the embittered prince she is pledged to marrya man as impossible as he is irresistible. In Ruth Ryan Langan's "The Roses of Glenross," a lonely lass tends a haunted rose garden in an abbey in war-torn Scotlandwhile a heroic soldier basks in the pure glow of her love. In Marianne Willman's "The Fairest Rose," a bold Irish warrior falls for the one woman who has the power to save his lifeand hold his heart.

Roberts deftly conjures a fantasy world of ice and snow in "Winter Rose," but her chilly tale lacks the fiery romantic tension typical of her writing. Finally, Jill Gregory's "The Rose and the Sword" is an engaging but slight quest narrative; the hero and heroine achieve their ends too hastily and learn very little from their journey. The best of the lot is Willman's "The Fairest Rose," a quest narrative with a winning heroine who displays a strength of will that surprises even herself. 2)Forecast: With Roberts's name emblazoned on the cover in large print, this mystical anthology will sell, especially among avid readers of historical romance and fans of fantasy.Copyright 2001 Cahners Business Information, Inc.. And while there was definitely some strongly worded opinions expressed in the book, I have to say that, wow, the story floored me. A couple can cause frustration until you figure out what happened.I will say that MSRS books are very much needed. There were many angles that could be taken with this book and it was incredibly useful to my paper. I find this a refreshing book. It is particularly strong in the formulation of mixed-integer problems, with a variety of tips for linearizing variable products and for incorporation of logical constructs. Great shape when it arrived. The clarity, layout, and total number are astounding. The book helps you to understand many experiences/situations and it gives guidance on how to live your life in a more joyful and trustful way and how to let go of fear and worry. We love these beautiful, mythical calendars.. Deep philosophy, twi
