I should not have been, Odd Girl Out was the number two best seller the year it was published. I love reading the poems in this books. It is certainly not up to the glory period of say issues #39 - #64 but it is far from the worst either. I don’t know how accurate his portrait of Ferber is, but if the real woman was at all like the fictional one, I wish I could have met her.
