This book is written by a prostate cancer survivor who now runs an international prostate cancer support group. All major treatment options are examined and the pros and cons of each are summarized. It is the book the author wishes had been available when he was diagnosed 6 years ago. This book has been endorsed by several physicians as well as other highly respected people from all walks of life.. It is an option that cures cancer as well as any other option, but generally leaves the patient with a higher quality of life and fewer, if any, side effects. It is further complicated by conflicting information the patient receives from physicians and the Internet. The task of choosing the right prostate cancer treatment is daunting. A relatively new, non-invasive, highly effective treatment is highlighted. It's about his journey and the important things he learned along the way. It is intended to provide specific information for men who are at risk or have been recently diagnosed with prostate canceBob Marckini has done that. And death seems to be the pivot which in the end brings out the best in those who are touched by it. The research is current (6/10/07). Nonetheless, I feel that Martin's book is a good primer for anyone who is interested in not only Dewey but, also, names such as Parker, and Tyler. This writer knows -- at a gut level -- how abuse and trauma reverberate through lives, and she honors both those who make it through and those who falter. He writes very sympathetically and it is really reassuring to learn about the similar struggles that prostate cancer patients commonly go through. The first chapter, or week, was enough to make a big difference for me. This man is amazing. In the final chapters frequency modulation and integrated circuits are introduced and VHF is covered, at least at the 50MHz level. The wide range of circuits allows you to pick and mix. With each woman pursuing what she believes is right for her.As a side note, the glance back at a time of oppression toward women that has thankfully receded was revolting and most fascinating was that it wasn't always men who were the oppressors.
