“This thundering book by the author of Old Jules is the story of the vast cattle industry of the American West; stupendous in length, concept, and achievement, it is the result of a lifetime of knowledge and research. The whole story is here, long but never dull, written with humor and understatement.”—KirkusI can't believe I bought a book written by a narcissist! This book began to sound like a self-aggrandisment article on what a wonderful peacekeeping person the author truly believes himself to be. This is not a book for beginners! The exercises start at a challenging level and get harder. by teenage nephew! "Heh Dad, can we try these recipes?".. I now look upon the simplicity as a joy and an incentive to do a little each day. I am Clinical Psychologist who treats gambling addiction. The same problem occurs when one looks at him as psychologist, as a pedagogue or, as a political commentator/activist. Good price. Considering the length of the book/novella, I suppose the flaws are acceptable. Beth is the female equivalent of 'the big man on campus', most folks know her, like her or admire her'. It was somewhat predictable the way she spy on her stafflonging to join them at their romps. There is no remedial instruction for someone who is having trouble with a particular stretch. The latter portions deal with actual operation, interfacing, and software support. I highly recommend this bookThe Cattlemen is the story of the cattle industry in America and of the men whose ranches reached from the Rio Grande into Montana, from the early Spanish days to Mari Sandoz’s contemporary times. It is the second in Sandoz’s trilogy of books narrating the history of the American West in relation to animal species.
