I keep it by my bedside table because I want to memorize every page. I do not often recommend books to people as I believe reading choices are personal, but I would recommend this book without reservation.. The two star reviewer is incorrect in saying that this book refutes everything previously understood about "all of" Egyptian culture and life. I like the characters and the love story. He's an all around great designer with morals and ethics in today's society. Perhaps Victorian timepunk? Regardless, the steampunk elements are simply ingredients in the cake, not the whole confection.
